May is finally here and I am ready for all the May flowers! Spring has been pretty cold here in Northeast Ohio, but after a mild winter I won’t complain (too much!) Better days are sure to come and I am ready to be outside working in the gardens! In the meantime, it’s a great time for a little extra rest and self-care in preparation for long days planting and pulling weeds!

Gift them the gift that they choose for themselves... we have postcard gift certificates that can be included along with your order and now also digital gift cards that will email you a code to be redeemed through our website or in person too-- easy and fun! Gift cards do require payment through your website (not via PayPal or AmazonPay) in order for the code to generate correctly; thanks for understanding! They can also be redeemed for local pickup of daylily plants and fresh cut herbs and flowers as well as our soaps and skin care!
The Daylily Sale Garden is looking good and now is a great time to add some of their easy to grow color to your flower beds! We grow over 400 different registered varieties of daylilies (along with hundreds of other perennial and annual herbs and flowers) and this year’s sale bed has hundreds of huge divisions just waiting to find new homes. Local friends, let us know if you’d like to adopt some of them! Our 2020 Daylily brochure is ready and we’d be happy to send you a copy. As always, our hours are by appointment and we are happy to arrange a time for you to come to pickup plants for your garden. While they aren’t blooming just yet, it’s easy to plant them in your yard and since our divisions are HUGE (at least two fans but honestly many are six or more!) they will bloom this year (no waiting for tiny plants to grow big enough to bloom) and we have varieties that you’re not going to find at big box stores. Early daylily varieties will start to bloom in late June with peak bloom being mid-July here for us and late bloomers extending into August and beyond. Be warned though, they are so pretty, come in so many colors and sizes and are so easy to enjoy that it’s easy to need more and more!
