May Savings to Relax and Enjoy!

May Savings are here for the month and we are looking forward to relaxing and enjoying them!  Our May Monthly Promotion Box is filled with the fresh and relaxing scent of lavender with our Hand-milled Lavender Soap, our special order  Lavender Body Oil, special order Lavender Freshening Spray, and our cold process Unscented Rose Milk Swirl Soap too!  All gift boxed for someone you love or to spoil yourself a bit!

The weather is still pretty chilly lately here in Northeast Ohio, but I've been taking advantage of the beautiful days to clean up the flowerbeds and finish moving some of the plants that I didn't get to last fall after the daylilies were finished! Some of the gardens around the house are getting downsized and the veggie garden is getting an exciting overhaul with help from my husband! I can hardly wait to finish it and show you!

The daylily sale garden and the fresh cut herb and flower garden in the back is staying the same size, but is filled with more daylilies and garlic than last year. And the garlic is looking amazing!  Local friends we are going to have a bunch of Music and Red Inchellium Garlic to share this year so keep an eye out around the beginning of July when we dig it up!  It's going to be so good! Garlic is kind of like daylilies, I mean can you really have too much?! haha!

And speaking of DAYLILIES! I'm pretty excited to have figured out how to put our Daylily brochure on the website as a free digital download!  We have lots of large, healthy, state inspected plants again this year in lots of sizes, shapes and colors!  Early bloomers will start in late June, with peak bloom usually around the second week of July and late varieties extending into August.  If you would like to come and see them in bloom, just contact me to make a time to come out to see them.  I would love to see you and enjoy some fresh air, sunshine and flowers with you!

I'm also on the lookout for sprouts from all of the common milkweed seeds we planted last year! So far so good and I'm happily seeing many of the new perennials we added especially for the butterflies coming back and looking great!  All in all, we added a dozen or more new varieties to all the pollinator friendly plants we already grow, including a half dozen or so varieties of milkweed especially for the Monarchs.  Butterfly gardening and raising Monarch butterflies was really a fun process last summer -- definitely looking forward to raising more again this year!

Hope you are enjoying May flowers, warm weather and getting to play in the dirt!
