May Savings and Mother's Day Gift Ideas

With more snow than rain showers in April, the May flowers have been slower blooming here in Ohio than in years past, but the first day of May couldn't be any prettier today with the sun shining (finally!), blue skies and warm temperatures... it is all of the things we love about Spring coming into its own!  Mother's Day is just around the corner and if you've been searching for something special for mom, grandma, aunts, or friends we think we can help!

Our May Monthly Promotion Box makes a great gift and this month features the clean and fresh scent of Almond with our Hand-milled Almond Soap, Almond Body Butter and Vanilla Almond Lava Lip Gloss all at a special sale price for this month!  Let us know it's a gift and we'll be happy to include a personalized gift card and note too!

Happy Easter! It doesn't feel like Spring but the calender says it's here!

Happy Easter! It doesn't feel like Spring but the calender says it's here!

Happy Easter 2018!

Can you tell I like this verse? With so many great verses to choose from at Easter, I managed to choose the same one for this year as I did last year!  It's true, this is one of my favorites... somehow if Jesus had risen from the dead and just left us alone it wouldn't have been nearly as special as knowing that he loves us and is concerned with all of our day in and day out troubles and joys!  It's the reason why he is a lot of the "we" at Sunnybrook Gardens Ltd.

Last year I had a lot of daffodils, hyacinths and other spring bulbs blooming, but this year Easter has come a bit earlier and Spring has been slow in arriving!  I scoured the flower beds to find something blooming before breaking down and using store bought daffodils in the picture and I was so happy to find one little Rose Quartz Hellebore Lenten Rose blooming!  It might actually show up on your computer screen much bigger than it was in real life!  Even with a short 2" stem and a little flower about 2" across it was still an exciting find!

Thank you for another great Daylily Season! We're ready for 2018!

Daylily Season is over for 2017 and usually the sale bed for the coming year has been lined out and by now, but this year with temperatures in the mid 90's and no rain in sight, I held off longer than usual to line out the new divisions for next year.  A break in the heat wave and finally some rain in the forecast meant that I was finally able to tuck everyone in this weekend! And I finished just in time for the rain to come!  Don't you just love it when it all works out that way?!   If...

2017 Daylily Sales Garden!

This year the Daylily sale garden has been moved over next to the new cut flower and herb garden flower bed. It took A LOT of work, but it's finally done and the plants are looking good!  I had hoped to wait until fall to move them all, but my better half had other plans!  At any rate, the new location is much better and a little more water and they will be looking great and blooming in just a couple weeks!  There are still over a hundred varieties to choose from in all sizes, shapes and colors!  Generously sized,...

Groundbreaking for the new cut flower and herb garden!

So excited for the beautiful Easter weekend weather! Sunrise service is one of my favorite things and that's saying something since I am not a morning person by nature! Perhaps the best surprise this weekend was hearing my husband tell me we could rototill the gardens!!  I've been trying really hard not to ask on a daily basis if it was dry enough yet! (Is it dry enough now? What about tonight? When do you think it will be ready?)  But the time was finally here THIS WEEKEND and Saturday evening we (he on the tractor and I happily...
