April Savings are springing up on our Hand-milled Lavender Soap and more all natural and vegan friendly skin treats in our April Monthly Promotion Box!  Lavender is a classic and it's hard not to love with it's relaxing scent!  And with Mother's Day just a few weeks away, it makes a great gift too!

Can you tell I like this verse? With so many great verses to choose from at Easter, I managed to choose the same one for this year as I did last year!  It's true, this is one of my favorites... somehow if Jesus had risen from the dead and just left us alone it wouldn't have been nearly as special as knowing that he loves us and is concerned with all of our day in and day out troubles and joys!  It's the reason why he is a lot of the "we" at Sunnybrook Gardens Ltd.  

Last year I had a lot of daffodils, hyacinths and other spring bulbs blooming, but this year Easter has come a bit earlier and Spring has been slow in arriving!  I scoured the flower beds to find something blooming before breaking down and using store bought daffodils in the picture and I was so happy to find one little Rose Quartz Hellebore Lenten Rose blooming!  It might actually show up on your computer screen much bigger than it was in real life!  Even with a short 2" stem and a little flower about 2" across it was still an exciting find!

March is here and the spring bulbs are starting to pop up everywhere and while the lasting warm weather of Spring is still several weeks away we couldn't help but think ahead to warmer days!  So bring on Spring with the fresh scent of Lemongrass and that beautiful lime green color of new growth... Spring Garden Preparation and Seed Starting!   I am always so excited to begin working in the garden again!  Something about the smell of the dirt and the sound of the birds and the bit of sunshine breaking through that is so refreshing!  And that feeling lasts for a while until the reality of how much needs to be done and the pain in my feet and hands and back all remind me that I am both out of shape and getting older!  Still, there is something innately satisfying about gardening... from a lot of compost grows some beautiful things!
