We are so excited to announce the availability of seasonal Fresh Cut Flower and Herb arrangements FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY (sorry we don't ship these)! They will be available into October and possibly longer, depending upon the weather!
Our new herb and cut flower garden is producing well and we have several varieties of herbs and flowers in many colors and will joyfully create an arrangement for you to keep or to share! If you would like to brighten the day with flowers, we are happy to help you do that!
THINGS TO KNOW WHEN ORDERING:
(PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING)
Flowers are for local pickup only. You must be willing to come to our home to pick them up. We have a large front porch where your flowers (and me!) will be waiting to greet you! It is possible there may be some cookies too ;)
Choose a single Bouquet or buy more than one to share or to add them together to create a larger arrangement! Or choose a DIY Bucket of Blooms if you want a large amount of flowers to decorate for your special occasion: buckets are great for graduations, baby and bridal showers, birthday parties and so much more!
Types of flowers will vary by what is available. Spring may include daffodils, alliums, coral bells, weigelia, lady's mantle, iris and/or lilacs. Summer brings lilies for a few weeks, then an abundance of hostas, bee balm, zinnias, cosmos, snapdragons, marigolds, bachelor buttons, daisies, sunflowers, hydrangea, sedum, basil and more that will continue to bloom through the first frost of Autumn.
Herb Bundles are a mix of the fresh herbs we have available but you are welcome to request a bundle of all of the same variety too! Cilantro, traditional Genovese Basil, Purple Ruffles Basil, Thai Sweet Basil, Siam Queen Basil, Lemon Basil, Dill, and Borage are all growing well this season!
Bouquets will be banded together and waiting for you in a jar of water; if you prefer them in a vase, just ask us to use one of our wide variety of re-purposed glass, ceramic and occasionally plastic containers in many colors and styles instead. Or, if you would like to provide your own container(s) just let us know and we can arrange that too.
DIY Buckets of Blooms will have a large amount of fresh cut cut flowers and greenery in a bucket with water just waiting for your creative touch!
Pickup day will be assumed to be the Monday or Friday that falls within the next five business days... for instance, if on Sunday, August 6th you purchase flowers for a Monday morning pickup, your flowers will be ready by 3:30 pm on August 7th; however, if you order on Monday, August 7th and select pickup for Monday afternoon we will assume you are picking up on Monday, August 14th. If you would like to order and pickup the same day, we are happy to do that whenever possible, but please contact us before purchasing to make sure we can have them ready in time. You are also welcome to contact us to set up a pickup for a date further ahead.
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR PREPARED FLOWERS THAT ARE NOT PICKED UP. If something happens and you cannot pick up at the scheduled time, please contact me as soon as possible! If your flowers have NOT already been prepared, we can issue you a refund. If your flowers have been prepared and you cannot be reached and/or another pickup time cannot be arranged, we will donate the arrangement to a local organization on your behalf.
Use Coupon Code LOCALPICKUP at checkout to avoid being automatically charged for shipping for orders under $75. If your order is over $75 no shipping charge will be added.
Fresh cut, local flowers should last approximately one to two weeks, depending on the type of flower. We recommend that you give them fresh water every couple days and re-cut stems if needed for best results. Nearly all of our cut flower varieties (zinnias, cosmos, snapdragons, marigolds, sunflowers, and runner beans for instance) are also edible flowers and you can use their petals to liven up salads, freeze in ice cubes and decorate desserts too! So many possibilities! Just make sure that it is an edible flower and then taste at will, as we do not use any chemicals when growing or add any preservative to them when cutting and arranging. If you do not wish to use them to eat, you can add a flower preservative to the water to extend the life of your arrangement a bit.
We hope that this will be a fun and easy way for you to order flowers for local pickup from us! Let us know what you think! Pictures are shown for illustration only as each Bouquet and DIY Bucket is unique!
